Morning Call timing, 0245 hrs.
We got our luggage packed because we will be checking out today, heading to Cairo.
Took a 3 hours coach ride to The famous historical site, Abu Simbel.
For safety reasons, all the coaches that will be heading to Abu, which is across the desert and about 300km away from Aswan, will gather in the early morning and travel as a convoy. There are even armed guards in each coach.
Along the way, we came across with the scene of beautiful sunrise…
And you know how to fight the sun when you are sitting right in front of the coach? Let our dear tour guide do a demo for you… ha
Abu Simbel
In the heart of Nubian territory, almost on the borders of Sudan and about 300km from Aswan, is the most beautiful and imposing construction of the greatest pharaoh in Egyptian history.
That night, we hop on to a 12hrs over night train to Cairo.
A peep of my train cabin, lucky number 2!! Ha
I spend half the time on my Macbook, uploading and editing the pictures I’ve taken during the trip. Making full use of my time.
And here we are, arriving at Giza Railway Station.
For about 2 years, I’ve waiting to set foot on the Pyramid, touching and feeling the masterpiece… Finally, I’m right in front of it…
This is the oldest Pyramid. How amazing…
Giza Pyramid…
Up and close session with Donkey and Camel! Have you seen one before?.. Ha
The pollution in the city of Cairo was kinda bad…
Check in to our hotel.. resort?… in Cairo.
I’m waiting patiently for the assigning of rooms… :0
For the next few days, sight seeing places includes Egyptian Museum in Cairo…
That you can take a look at the mummies… haha
The city of Alexandria…
In City of Alexandria, Salah Aldin Mosque
Presidential Palace…
This is a shot I took while we were heading back to Cairo from Alexandria. Our guide told us that the idea of building the pyramid actually came from the sun rays.. take a close look at the picture, can you see the pyramid form by the sun rays?…
Last but the least, the popular activity that Singaporeans adore most… Shopping!
Shopping square in Cairo! Massive yeah? Wah!…..
Last but no least, I wanna say thanks to all wonderful friends I’ve met during the trip, and bravo for the guides, for their wonderful work in making the trip so enjoyable 🙂

Thanks for the great photos !!! You are so patient, charming, caring and generous towards the group, the young, the old, the helpless and the less fortune ones in Egypt. You are real cool and a wonderful travelling companion. (Best wishes for Dec 16….ya….3006).
Wow! Nice scenery and you have captured the best pictures for this trip. It is really amazing looking at the pyramids. I have read so much about pyramids and it has a source of energy concentration in the middle of the pyramid. Do you have a chance to enter into the pyramid as I do not see any picture showing inside the pyramid.
I always wanted to visit Egypt some day. You are lucky to have made the trip, it is the golden opportunity to view those magnificent pyramids.
Must be one lor! So when when are we having the gathering… Boohoo!

Referring to your “Waiting…” poem….May I say: wait no more, waste no time, money can’t buy time, health, love, happy family…Take control & get a meaningful life…cherish NOW and plan for the FUTURE…for what’s past cannot be recovered & what’s done cannot be undone…
